Who is Fave?
Fave is a local discovery app that offers up to 5,000 from beauty category to F&B to even travel services. Users can purchase deals or vouchers and use it at physical retail stores or restaurants and enjoy 20% to 80% off the original price (Trust me, it’s AMAZING!!) FavePay allows users to get cashback on their favorite stores!
Wait,what? FavePay?
Yes, more savings! FavePay is a cashless payment method, simply link with credit or debit card and earn instant cashback that can be used during the next visit at retail store or restaurant.
Growing the community
How did Fave grow users rapidly within such a short period of time? Definitely their attractive referral program! Share individual unique promo code with friends and get $2 rewarded when friends use the referral code on their first purchase with Fave. (Did I also mention the friend will get $2 off on their first purchase?)

Neglecting their existing user? Never for Fave.

For existing users, Fave intelligently utilized push notifications as a marketing tool to inform their users on their latest deals or special offers and direct users to their app. (I always fall for their flash deals!)

Fave accelerates the retail business momentum.

Retailer requires no setup cost to join FaveBiz. FaveBiz help to track business growth digitally and identify the performance trends. Furthermore, Fave is effective in building customer loyalty and bring customers back with cashback. Isn’t it a win-win solution for both the business and consumers?
To end off, Fave, one of the most Southeast Asia’s leading mobile platform, benefits both retail business as well as consumers. Most importantly, it’s free and easy to download on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. What’s not to like about Fave?
Dear readers, by now you should know that I am a HUGE fan of Fave.

A very easy read! I haven’t had the chance to use FavePay but it seems like I need to hop on this bandwagon!
There are some issues with this system however. The digitalisation of payment allows companies to track your financial activity (https://gizmodo.com/all-the-ways-your-smartphone-and-its-apps-can-track-you-1821213704_).
I wonder what ethical issues this might cause in the near future? Imagine FavePay knowing you daily lunch schedules and habits. Advertising companies can target specific advertisements that you are more vulnerable to should FavePay sell that information. Wouldn’t that be crossing the line a little? It’s a little creepy to think about a company knowing what you ate for dinner 3 weeks back better than you.
Let me know what you think!

Hi Sheng Kai! Thank you for your comment!
Personally, I always have issues deciding what to eat on a daily basis. I would love it if there’s a feature on Fave App suggesting what food is available around my location. Like browser cookies, it collects data to identify users and their purchase intention. Which I feel it’s intelligent but at the same time, I am doubtful of what other personal data they could access.
However, I feel that we are also responsible for what we link our personal details online. For me, I registered an additional bank account specifically for online shopping and one for personal savings which will not link to any online platforms.
And yes, you should totally try this AMAZING app! You will love it! Let me know when you try out the Fave App! 😄

Hello PEILIIIII !!!! Interesting read! 💕
I agree with you that mobile marketing is becoming even more important! Firstly, the time time spent on mobile devices has grown significantly. I can’t live without my portable charger! HAHAHA. Secondly, mobile marketing allows companies to reach out to a broader audience. Lastly, consumers tend to shop in the brick and mortar stores and do their research online while they walk down the store aisle. Businesses should take advantage of that! HELLO RACH! ❤️
I agree with you that there are many benefits of mobile marketing. However, there are some downsides of mobile marketing that we should never neglect! Privacy issues. This has always in question on any network or device! Platforms too diverse. As there are many smart devices out there, they come in many shapes and sizes, so screen size is never constant. (For example iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone 7, iPhone X) Also, mobile platforms use different operating systems and browsers. Hence, creating one campaign for all of them can get difficult.(https://www.thebrandonagency.com/blog/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-mobile-marketing/)
Stay tuned, my next blog post coming soon! 🥰
